This is Roger Tinker, owner and general manager of all star pest control in Columbus, Georgia. Lately, I’ve seen more advertising about and I’m gonna say so called bugs zappers. Yes, bugs zappers work. But I will tell you that in restaurant, they don’t use bugs zappers, because when the bug hits the electric grid, their bodies explode. And the restaurants will use a blue light, which attracts the flies and other insects. And they are called on a glue board. So there are no bug parts scattered throughout the restaurant, the same thing would be true in a home is that they would scatter. Another thing that I have seen countless people do is they’ll unlock on hope they’ll open the bug zappers, and then just simply go place it near the picnic table, and then wonder why they’re getting bit more often. Well, if you’re flying towards a blue light or something that has attracted you, and instead of that light, there’s a human being with good tasty blood, you’re gonna bite the human instead of going into the light. If you read the instructions on most of these, it says placed 20 to 30 foot away from the area that you’re trying to protect. And so just quite frankly, that’s why expensive bug lights costs more money, because they’re designed not to scatter the parts of the bugs into the atmosphere where you and I breathe and eat.
